The Berkeley PTA Council is the umbrella group for all PTAs in the city. We are here to:
- Serve as a resource to things that pertain to PTA policy.
- Keep a line of communication open between the Berkeley Unified School District and families with students attending public school.
- Hold monthly meetings with PTA reps from all schools to find a common ground so we can effectively advocate for our children.
- Provide leadership training for PTA unit officers.
Mission Statement of the California State PTA
The mission of the California State PTA is to represent our members and to empower and support them with skills in advocacy, leadership, and communication to positively impact the lives of all children.
The Berkeley PTA Council and the PTAs of the Berkeley Public Schools are part of the State and National PTA, the largest and most effective child advocacy organization in the country.
